Delete Your Account and Data

You can permanently delete your WeatherPets account, your pets, your uploaded photos and every generated scene at any time, directly inside the app. It takes about a minute and does not require contacting us. This page explains exactly where the control is, what deletion removes, and the two things that are handled separately.

1. How to delete your account in the app

  1. Open the WeatherPets app on your iPhone.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Account.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the Account screen to the Danger Zone.
  5. Tap Delete Account, then confirm with Delete Forever.

The confirmation step is deliberate, because this cannot be undone. Once you confirm, the app signs you out and returns to the welcome screen as though it were freshly installed.

2. What deletion removes

Confirming Delete Forever permanently removes:

  • Your WeatherPets account and the sign-in record associated with it
  • Every pet profile you created, including names, personality traits and breed classifications
  • Every photo you uploaded, deleted from our cloud storage
  • Every AI-generated scene, style pack image and pet avatar made for you
  • Your saved locations, notification schedules, preferences and app settings
  • All WeatherPets data held locally on your device, including cached images and saved reports

Deletion runs immediately. Residual copies in routine system backups clear within 30 days, consistent with section 7 of our Privacy Policy.

3. Your subscription is separate

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid WeatherPets subscription. Apple, not WeatherPets, manages billing, so an active subscription keeps renewing until you cancel it yourself:

  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select WeatherPets and tap Cancel Subscription.

Apple documents the process in its support article on cancelling a subscription from Apple. We recommend cancelling first, then deleting your account.

4. What we keep, and why

Two things survive account deletion. Neither can be used to restore your pets, photos or scenes, and neither identifies you.

  • A one-way hashed sign-in identifier. When you delete your account we store a hash derived from your Apple Sign-In identifier so that the free starter credits granted to new accounts cannot be claimed repeatedly by deleting and recreating an account. It is a one-way hash: it cannot be reversed into your Apple ID, your email or any of your content.
  • Aggregated, anonymized analytics. Usage counts that were never tied to your identity, and cannot be linked back to you after deletion.

Anything you exported yourself, such as a scene you saved to your iPhone's Photos app or shared with a friend, stays where you put it. We cannot reach those copies.

5. Deleting less than everything

If you want to remove specific content rather than your whole account, open Settings and then Photo Library, where you can select individual photos and delete them without touching the rest of your account.

6. If you cannot open the app

If you have deleted the app, lost access to your device, or cannot reach the Account screen for any reason, we will process the deletion for you. Email dom@relative.dev or adam@relative.dev with the subject line "Delete my account" and we will confirm once it is done. We usually answer within 24 hours.

Please write from the email address on your account where possible. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, tell us the approximate date you created the account and the name of one of your pets, so we can identify the right record without guessing.

7. Other privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, or opt out of certain processing. Those requests go to the same addresses above. Our Privacy Policy sets out the full list, what we collect, and every third-party service involved.
