Weather scenes of your real pet

Add your pet's photo and WeatherPets restyles it to match the live weather outside — a full set covering sunshine, clouds, rain, thunderstorms, snow, and night. The app's background follows the real conditions, so the forecast is literally a picture of your pet dressed for the day.

Style themes change the whole look — from cozy to cinematic to destinations around the world — and your finished scenes are yours to save, share, and keep. Browse the style packs →

The Pet Safety Score

One number, 0 to 100, that answers whether it's safe for your pet to be outside right now — with a plain verdict: Great, Good, Caution, or Risk. It's computed from your pet's species, size, coat, age, and health, then adjusted for temperature, humidity, air quality, UV, wind, and pavement heat.

The breakdown shows the arithmetic behind the number instead of asking you to trust it, and every threshold cites its veterinary source. Tap in for the best walk times, a suggested outing length, and an hour-by-hour timeline. Read the full methodology →

Included free Pavement heat Sources cited
Pet Safety Score on a good day: 96 out of 100 for Weenie and Bailey, great time to go out, with a walk plan Pet Safety Score in extreme heat: 0 out of 100, best to stay in, flagging heat stress risk and pavement that can burn paws Pet Safety Score on a poor air quality day: 28 out of 100, short potty breaks only, with bring water and protect paws precautions

Widgets & Live Activities

Home screen widgets in multiple sizes and lock screen widgets put your favorite photos beside the current conditions and forecast, all day — included free. On premium, your pet's generated weather scenes take over the widget, and your pet's sprite even switches to a sleeping pose at night.

Premium also unlocks Live Activities: start a live weather report in the app and follow it from your lock screen and the Dynamic Island — severe weather, extreme temperature swings, and incoming precipitation with a heads-up before it arrives. Each alert type is individually opt-in.

Radar with your pet on the map

Precipitation radar with frames reaching into the past and the next hour, so “do I have time for a walk before it starts?” takes one glance. Your pet stands on the map marking home, adds their own commentary on the sky, and pilots the WeatherPets weather balloon across the loading screen.

pet avatars

From one photo, WeatherPets builds an animated pixel version of your specific pet — a zone-by-zone read of their coat, markings, and silhouette, not a generic mascot. You pick your favorite from three candidate takes in a box-opening reveal.

Your pet avatar breathes and blinks through the app, sleeps on your lock screen at night, and fronts your pet's spot on the WeatherPets News Team.

Solid weather fundamentals

Underneath the charm is a serious weather app, powered by Apple Weather (WeatherKit).

Hourly & 10-day forecasts

Current conditions, feels-like, hourly detail, and a 10-day outlook — with your pet's face on every forecast day.

Severe weather alerts

Warnings from multiple sources, de-duplicated, delivered as a message from your pet. Never behind the paywall.

Air quality, UV & pollen

Ground-station air quality with pet-specific advice, UV notes for pale noses and thin coats, and pollen tracking for allergic pets.

Pavement temperature

Asphalt in full sun can run 40–60 degrees hotter than the air. WeatherPets surfaces the number other apps don't show.

Indoor Pet Advisor

Advice for pets who never go outside — when to open the windows, when pollen or smoke says keep them shut.

Light & dark mode

Gorgeous at 6am, gorgeous at midnight. The whole app adapts around your pet, around the clock.

Reports with personality

Morning and evening, your pet walks you through the day ahead — written in their voice, shaped by the personality traits you picked. You get an outfit tip for yourself alongside the advice for them, because you're both heading out the door. The numbers are real computed forecast data; the personality lives only in how it's delivered. When weather turns severe, the comedy stands down and the report gets calm and direct.

Prefer real photos over generated scenes? Set a slideshow of your own favorite pet snapshots as the backdrop behind the forecast — a rotating reel of the moments you love most.
